Meet Dr. William Stoeckel
Dr. William T. Stoeckel is a board certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Wake Plastic Surgery & MedSpa.
After graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, he completed his integrated plastic surgery training at world-renowned Wake Forest University. He opened the practice in Cary in 2008, and since then has been bringing the same level of passion, respect, safety, and compassion to all of his patients. He is dedicated to cosmetic medicine and transforming the lives of each patient he meets.
Over the years, he has built a reputation for drainless tummy tucks, natural looking breast augmentations, and a strong focus on safety in the operating room. His success and dedication to his field has also been recognized locally and statewide, including honors such as; Best Employer in North Carolina (2024) and Best Plastic Surgeon of North Carolina (2026).

The QuiltTite Drainless Tummy Tuck
A tummy tuck is often about much more than just a flatter stomach. For many patients it is about tightening separated abdominal muscles and removing extra skin after pregnancy or weight changes that diet and exercise cannot fix.
Dr. Stoeckel has used a quilting technique for drainless tummy tucks since 2011, and he has taught that approach to other surgeons. Instead of using traditional drains, he uses progressive tension sutures to secure the skin back into place. Using this technique, patients can typically avoid drains after surgery making recovering at home that much easier.
