Description:
This young patient had a classic case of gynecomastia. There was fullness of glandular tissue behind the nipple and areola even though he was not overweight. The tissue became more swollen with warm temperatures and made it uncomfortable to have his shirt off at the beach or the gym. He had a some minimal liposuction of the chest along with direct excision of the excess glandular tissue using an incision just under the areola. He is seen here only 1 month after surgery. The results look good already and will only improve as the scars fades and the rest of the swelling resolve.
