Patient Interview: miraDry Experience

Why did you get miraDry?
I came to Wake Plastic Surgery about 3 months ago for a miraDry consult with Kristi. I was researching options to help with my sweating and deodorant allergy when I came across the miraDry treatment online. I found several providers online and called a couple practices in the area, but I ended up choosing this office because of the reviews and positive things I have heard when researching. From the moment I walked in I knew I had made the right decision – from the friendly front desk to the beautiful office my first impressions were very positive. After the consultation with Kristi, I decided to move forward with booking the treatment.
How was your experience and how did your treatment go?
I was nervous the day of the treatment, but Kristi was able to calm my nerves and put on Netflix for me to relax. The numbing part was the only thing I did not enjoy about the procedure, but she made it as quick as she could and the treatment itself was literally a breeze.
How did you feel after your treatment?
I was able to drive myself home that day, but I was still a little numb and swollen. The next day was probably the worst as far as swelling goes, but I iced it and the swelling was able to go down more.
How do you feel now, a few months later?
Now, I am about 3 months out from the original procedure. I wanted to wait for everything to settle before giving my final opinion and let me tell you how much of a difference this has made in my life. I have almost no sweat left in my underarms and basically no noticeable odor WITHOUT wearing deodorant. I couldn’t have imagined not having to wear deodorant ever again, but here I am! If I had to do this procedure again I would 100% and I couldn’t recommend Kristi or Wake Plastic Surgery, enough.
